Associate Vice Chancellor for Development Fayetteville State University
The Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Campaign Manager in the Division of Institutional Advancement is responsible for general campaign management and development activities including fundraising, accessioning and acknowledgement of all gifts, finding donors and gift prospects, and assists in planning special programs and events. The Associate Vice Chancellor reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement, assists in carrying out the mission and strategic priorities of the university, manages the MOVES process, assists in preparation of reports, conducts annual fund drives, assists in working with the FSU Foundation, and serves in the absence of the Vice Chancellor.
As the university nears completion of the first phase ($9 million) of the $25 million goal, the successful candidate will lead the second phase ($16 million) goal and is expected to incorporate best fundraising practices.
Director of Development, School of Business and Economics Fayetteville State University
This position will be responsible for communicating the unique value offered by the School of Business and Economics (SBE) to prospective donors, and will assist in obtaining funding through grant proposals responsive to opportunities in both the private and public sectors. The Director will be considered a member of the SBE staff as well as the FSU Institutional Advancement team, and will report both to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development/Campaign Manager and the Dean of the School of Business and Economics with the primary reporting to the AVC for Development/Campaign Manager.
Fayetteville State University is currently in the second phase of a $25 million dollar comprehensive Capital Campaign. The position will join a winning team that will be responsible for raising support for the next phase goal of $16 million.
Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement Elizabeth City State University
Working at the Chancellor's direction and in support of the Chancellor's vision, The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement serves as chief development officer with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the University's advancement function. The position is responsible for planning and implementing, in consonance with the University's mission, a comprehensive program for private, corporate, and supplemental government support, as well as, providing leadership for significant giving through capital campaigns. The position also serves as Executive Director to the Elizabeth City State University Foundation.
Director of Development and Gift Planning Fayetteville State University
This position involves cultivation and solicitation of donors; active, ongoing personal stewardship of supporters; activities that build and enhance relationships between the University and external constituencies; and the development and dissemination of relevant information about the University. This professional will be responsible for soliciting planned gifts, typically above $25,000, from all donor types. This position will focus on discovery, cultivation, and solicitation of planned gifts from individual donors to Fayetteville State University. This position may work with other development officers to present blended gift proposals that include both a cash gift to the university and a planned gift.

University Program Specialist (Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications) Fayetteville State University
The Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications will manage integrated marketing efforts within the Division of Institutional Advancement. The Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications will work under the leadership of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications, and will serve as the primary lead on executing communications strategies to benefit the university’s interests. The Director will support the AVC in developing strategic initiatives and setting measurable goals for the department. The Director will work with the Strategic Communications Coordinator for project and administrative support.
